Multimedia Design
Though I got my start as a copywriter, I quickly learned to specialize in typographical print and digital graphic design for projects as small as a flyer to as wide-reaching as a bi-annual magazine for a regional comprehensive university.
From digital signage to newsletters, social media to traditional print, presentations to pole banners, commemorative gifts to merchandise: I've designed a lot, and directed the content strategy for more.
Making History: Speech Writing
A couple weeks before the installation of Eastern Kentucky University's fourteenth president, Dr. David T. McFaddin, I had the opportunity of a lifetime: Chief of Staff Colleen Chaney sought assistance writing the President's speech.
I was honored to compose what is recorded in history as the keynote address, "One Eastern: A Call to Transformational Experiences."
Syndicating the vision of my alma mater through our new president live on-stage to thousands will live in my memory as one of the most fulfilling moments of my career.
Moving forward from here today, I am asking the entire Eastern Kentucky University community to rise to the challenge.
Let us see clearly the opportunities that lie before us. Let us think broadly about how we might ensure that OUR Eastern is a place where trust, integrity, and inclusion are the foundation on which we base our work. Let us ensure that we exhibit and strive for excellence in everything that we do. And finally, let us feel deeply the weight of the privilege and responsibility of doing this good and noble work.
Because it is together we are One Eastern.
Work as a Published Author
I'm proud to have written for nationally-acclaimed textbooks aligned to the College Board's Advanced Placement English curriculum in Ideas in Argument (2022) and Ideas in Literature (2023).
Additionally, I co-authored two textbooks Ideas in Argument Teacher's Edition (2022) and Ideas in Literature Teacher's Edition (2023) both published by Bedford, Freeman & Worth.
I leveraged my expertise in the literary field, perspective as a Gen Z professional educator, and skill in analyzing different audience segments' needs to become a critical team member in the success of these four projects.

Photography and Videography
In the brands I've worked with, compelling photography and videography was critical to fostering a sense of tight-knit family and community and telling the story of a world-class education for next-generation leaders. My style is dynamic, and my goal is always to capture and convey the story of the moment to make audiences wish they had been there.
Every photo, every word, every transition, every asset – every communication – must be aligned to emphasize pillars of the brand promise in the brand's voice and tone. The teams I directed deliver results.
